Challenge

Fully Human Psychology came to us with a clear but nuanced goal: create a brand and website that felt real. Dr. Chris Bradshaw didn’t want anything overly polished or performative — he wanted a space that communicated depth, presence, and the kind of relational honesty that defines his work. The challenge was to design something that felt like him: thoughtful, creative, grounded, and human.

Approach

From day one, this was a highly collaborative and reflective process. We weren’t just designing a website — we were co-creating a digital extension of Chris’s presence. I started by listening closely: to his story, his values, and what truly matters to him in his work.

Through long-form conversations and iterative design choices, we clarified how existential-humanistic therapy could be expressed visually — not through clinical polish, but through emotional resonance.

A cozy corner of a room with a wooden bookshelf filled with books, a black reclining chair, a black floor lamp, a small round table, and framed pictures and certificates on the wall.
Open notebook pages with handwritten notes and sketches, some in blue ink, and a printed logo on lined paper. The pages sit on a wooden surface.

Brand Identity

We kept the branding intentionally understated — warm serif typefaces paired with delicate script, a muted earthy palette, and minimal ornamentation. But the simplicity is layered with meaning. Chris wanted the brand to feel like an invitation, not an ad — something that gave clients permission to slow down, breathe, and feel seen. Even the logo reflects this ethos: not bold and loud, but quietly confident and personal.

Results

Fully Human Psychology launched with a brand and website that feels deeply personal — and unmistakably aligned with Chris’s identity as a therapist.

He now has a digital home that resonates with his ideal clients and serves as a gentle yet clear reflection of his approach. The feedback has been heartfelt: peers and clients alike have noted how different and refreshing the site feels — a space that really feels like Chris.

What’s Next

Since the initial launch, my collaboration with Chris has only grown. We’ve continued working together on a range of projects — from designing and supporting three different podcasts, to creating a full suite of stationery and office materials, to building out an existential-humanistic therapist directory (currently in the works).

We’ve also collaborated on social media designs and shared countless conversations — part consultation, part creative brainstorm, part life check-in. It’s the kind of working relationship we always hope for: built on trust, shared values, and a genuine appreciation for thoughtful design :)

I met with Justin for one Zoom call, and discussed my vision for the private practice, my approaches to therapy, a rough vision for the website, and provided photos to some art pieces that seemed to speak to my practice and the design of my office space. Justin went from there and created a website that really surprised me with how much it actually helped me clarify my vision and increase my inspiration for the venture of opening a private practice.
