A few things people ask
Do you work with clients outside the Detroit area?
Yes — most of my work is done remotely, so location isn't a barrier. I'm based in Auburn Hills, just outside Detroit, and I work with clients across the country. I'm also in Bangkok a couple months a year, so I keep some availability for other time zones.
Do you only work with healthcare businesses?
No. Inflow started in healthcare — that's where it began, and it's still close to my heart — but today I work across industries: lifestyle, real estate, events, coaching, ecommerce. The healthcare roots mostly show up as a habit of taking the work seriously and getting the details right, wherever it's pointed.
What platform do you build websites on?
Squarespace, usually. I'm a Platinum Circle Squarespace Partner, and it's what I recommend when it's a fit — it's reliable, genuinely easy to own, and you're never locked into me to make a small change. There are no ongoing design fees; your only ongoing costs are your domain and Squarespace plan, paid directly to them. That said, if your project calls for something else, we'll talk about it. The platform should serve the business, not the other way around.
What's it actually like to work with you?
We start with a conversation, not a contract — I want to understand the business, the people, and what you're trying to build before I touch a logo or a layout. From there it's collaborative and iterative: I'll show you directions, you'll react, and we'll refine until it feels right. I'm not looking for one-off projects. I'd rather be the person you call the next time something comes up, too.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on scope, but I keep pricing transparent rather than making you ask. Branding starts at $500 for a logo, $2,000 for a full brand. Websites start at $1,500. Graphic design starts at $200. If your project doesn't fit neatly into a tier, we'll figure out the right scope together.
What's the difference between a logo and a brand identity?
A logo is a mark. A brand identity is the system that makes the mark work — color, typography, patterns, and the rules for using it all consistently. If you only need something to put on a business card, a logo is enough. If you need the business to look like itself across a website, a storefront, a deck, and an Instagram post, you need the system.
Why does copy come before design?
Because a layout designed around real words fits them. A layout designed around placeholder text becomes a container you have to cram the real message into later — and the message loses every time. Writing first means the design is shaped by what you actually need to say.
Do I need a brand before I need a website?
Usually, yes — but not always. If your brand is unclear, a website just makes the confusion bigger and more expensive. If you already have a mark and a look that work, we can build on them. The honest answer depends on what you have, which is what the first conversation is for.
Can you finish or fix a project someone else started?
Yes, as long as it's something I can do well. It depends on what exists and what shape it's in. Sometimes there's a solid foundation worth building on. Sometimes starting over is faster and cheaper than untangling what's there — I'll tell you which one it is before we start, not after.
Do you do SEO?
Every site I build includes foundational SEO — clean structure, real page titles, and descriptions written to be read. Beyond that, I offer ongoing SEO and AI management: structured data, indexing, and monthly reporting so search engines and AI tools can actually name you as the answer. That part starts at $750/month and is entirely optional.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the piece. A logo or a set of social graphics can land in about two weeks. A full brand identity runs closer to four to six. A website is usually eight, sometimes longer depending on scope. Timelines move fastest when content, access, and feedback are flowing — so I'll keep you clear on what I need and when.
How does payment work?
Nothing is due before you see the first draft. Your first payment, 50%, comes after you've reviewed the direction and shared feedback. The final 50% is due after final approval, before delivery or launch. Invoices go out by email and are payable online.
How many rounds of revisions do I get?
Refinement works like a funnel: direction first, then content, then polish. Round one is the big stuff — layout, structure, color, type. Round two is copy and messaging. Round three and beyond is detail work. Structuring it this way keeps feedback focused and avoids rebuilding finished work. The number of rounds included is in your proposal.
What happens after my site launches?
I transfer the site to your account and help prepare it for launch. For the first 90 days you get four free minor edits per month — text updates, image swaps, small adjustments. Larger updates or new pages are quoted separately. After that, you can always reach out; I'll help where I can and let you know if something needs a quote.
What do you need from me to start?
Less than you'd think. Rough notes, fragments, screenshots, and half-formed ideas are all useful. I'd rather have honest fragments than polished filler. If you have existing content, logos, or photos, send them. If you don't, we'll figure it out together.
